Canon EOS-1D Mark II N, 600 f/4 AFS + 1.4TC, ISO 500, 1/250 @ f/5.6. CS2, C1 Pro.
I haven't contributed too much over the last few months so here's one of my favourite subjects taken in the last knockings of sweet light. Bit of a snatch and grab job - I could have bumped up the ISO and gained some shutter speed had I reacted quicker.
I'm once again looking for Short Eared Owls this winter which have always proven a very difficult subject for me but I'm almost certain buying a new Mark III would fix that though wouldn't it?

Thats a really nice image.
Buying a Mark III will guarantee you an abundance of SEOs (that is what you wanted to hear isn't it )

Yes a very nice image - wish I had one this good
BG doesn't look very wintery
As long as you buy a newly made one John - the sub mirror is actually designed to be operated by SEOs - 16 to be exact - but somehow Canon screwed up and used 32 Scops in Rob Galbraiths' and seemingly a lot of others too
