Bradgate Stags Fighting + re-post
One from today. The Bradgate rut is still in full swing. Plenty of roaring plus some actual fighting. Had to stand on a small bank and get the tripod up really high to get a shot over the bracken though.

Techs:

E-510, 300/2.8+1.4TC, ISO 100, 1/640 @ F4. Cropped about 10%.

C & C welcome

The Tatton Rut is still on, excupt all the dogs and walkers putting them into the private area.. :( Tha 300 and TC gives you alot of reach on the oly setup!

Nice action here too :toast:

There's a bit too much OoF FG intrusion though for me - if you had just raised the camera a couple of inches or so I think I'd like it more
That fallen tree trunk is a bit of a pain too - and the image might benefit from a tad of USM.

A nice cap all the same though - good job :toast: :wavey:

Thanks for the feedback fellas. You've basically confirmed my own thoughts about the OOF foreground so here's a pano-type crop. I've applied a bit more USM to this too. Not much I can do about the branch but it could have been in a much worse place I suppose  Getting the camera higher would have been nice too but I was already on a small bank and almost standing on tip-toe to see through the viewfinder.
