Thanks Erik! I really wish I could meet you on another photo shoot. I have been kind of missing all the photo opportunities recently - when I decide to stay at home/work then the conditions are gorgeous, but when I finally decide to go out it's bleak and dull. What a luck!
To kill the bad luck I joined studio portrait classes at PCC. It's really fun to do something different. I find portraits million times harder than landscapes. When confronting the nature I feel stimulated, but when confronting a model I suddenly feel completely brain dead. I need to learn to overcome that feeling!
Let me guys know when you’re going anywhere and I will try to join.. :)

Nice job Cezar with the EP. On a side note I remember seeing a prior post as well where you mentioned about the Sat class you are taking at PCC w/ Riches. He knows his stuff in the old school way very well. Yet I have to say that I do regular portrait work now and there was not a whole lot I pulled from that class that I use today. Learning the basics on lighting was good and the experience meeting other photographers is always good. It was one of the first real classes I took on portrait work several years back but I have to say his style is/was too traditional for my liking to spend Saturday after Saturday there. Just take what works for you from the class and expand from there is my advice. I used to agree that portraits are harder for the same reasons you mention but I believe now landscapes and portaits can both be difficult depending on the scene or subject at hand and how hard you push yourself to always produce something better. Good luck!

Adrian, I don't have much experience with studio, but I agree that Mike is rather specific. And I am not even talking about him being “traditional", but about the way he approaches the classes.
The problem is that I don't know of any other opportunities to learn portrait in a practical way. NYIP teaches it very well theoretically, but naturally they don't offer any "hands on" options. PCC is the only opportunity I have. If you know any other I will be delighted to try it.
