Woodland, WA....
I think most of us know this place pretty well....and for those who don't....here it is.......
this was taken yesterday (Sunday) about noon (not my style) the clouds were gray but cleared on my way up there...I did use a polarizer to cut glare and enrich the colors.....
Thanks for looking and leaving a comment!!!

here is what it looks like behind the Grist Mill....I plan on walking this creek soon...there is a slight trail on the far side but I am not sure how far it goes...the creek is low enough that it is walkable...

well done Darren. One of the best shots I've seen of the mill. I only wish the water wasn't quite so dark. Nice work!
Great shots! I've never been there, but I'd like to visit someday. Can you give some directions on howto get there?
Thanx
Dave

Hi Darren, you've captured a very nice shot of this grist mill. The tonality is good and the composition pleasant. My only minor nit is the tree branch that spreads out in front of the mill as it steals some of my attention. The fall colors look a little past their peak, but it still has a nice feeling of Autumn. I'll bet this place was on fire a week or so ago. I've been wanting to shoot this place for quite a while now--just haven't made the trip up there yet. Congrats on a great capture.
This is a nice place to explore, and your great picture shows you have as well. The branch is in the way a little, but not much since its barren. It shows the area well.
I didn't even know about this. When are you headin' back up there?

Nice images, Darren - I especially like the second. One tiny cleanup detail would be to clone out the dots of sky that show up in both. I happen to like "post-peak" fall images with lots of reddish/brown leaves along the forest floor. It's a very iconic PNW feel.

Super job on both of these, Darren. The fall colors really make these intriguing and beautiful.

Nice work on both Darren. I really like the first one. Probably the best I've seen from that location. BTW, I'll put on my moderators cap and give you a little scolding for the double post. We'll let it slide this time.
