Well I finally got a few hrs to get out & shoot today. I met my friends Bob Kulon and Chuck Beatty and headed over to Bridle veil Falls in the CVNP After the sun went behind the clouds as the rain falling tonight moved north, Chuck and I headed deep down into the creek ( way under the viewing platform) that created the ---that formed the falls. The curved walls are layers of slate ( hard to get into in any conditions and very sharp as my arm, will attest to. When we got int here it was amazing. There is so little water that we could easily maneuver back into the gorge. Because of the wind this weekend and lack of rain, the fallen leaves lined the walls and creek bed. I shot about 50 frames. This is one quick image I looked at tonight.
If you get over to the park in the next few days check this place out. The rain tonight & tomorrow might wash some leaves away but more are sure to fall.
Tomorrow its back to Oregon. It sure was nice getting back to the Midwest and capturing a few images along the way.

Very cool shot, the leaves add a whole other element to the motion blur.

Beautiful colors, Jack! Love that swirl with the orange and red streaks.

That's a lot more color than we have down here in Columbus. And an angle I didn't recognize the falls at. I had to reread your post to find out.
I pretty much abandoned any thoughts of heading up due to blue skies until about 2-3 this afternoon. I have other shooting plans vaguely local for the rest of the week, so no Cuyahoga this Fall...

That turned out very well, Jack. Thanks for the afternoon of shooting. It's been raining here since last night, so this scene no longer exists. I did stop by Blue Hen on the way back -- lots of leaves down, but little water. Tomorrow will be a lot different.
Safe trip home.

Danny---this was shot deep in the gorge... I've never been able to get down in there until this year---very lucky. The slate was slippery & sharp. I am really sore today ( old age!).
