This is a picture of the show the surf put on for us at Schoodic Point on Saturday. The storm passed through late Friday and overnight and produced some reasonable surf. The tide was coming in and the show was on! The water was about 30 ft above the rocks and about 50 ft above where the waves were breaking.
It turns out that due to the unusually warm Autumn the foliage season on the coast will be this coming weekend Oct 27/28, according to the Maine Forest Service.

Well this picture definately is dramatic even if the weather and foliage didn't exactly cooperate. Quite a sky too...did this ever light up at either sunrise or sunset???
Sorry I missed the trip...looking forward to the spring outing...or perhaps some wintry jaunts!
