Waters' Edge
Hi everyone,
I haven't posted for awhile, so I dug this one out of a trip along Highway 58 I took in April. This is near Clearwater Falls. The colors of the sun hitting the moss and bark in the shadows caught my eye.....backdropped against the waterfall.
C&C appreciated

Edit:
I completely forgot the settings

Chris,
Maybe your not getting the responses you expected. A couple of things I notice are first the blown the highlights. Also maybe a crop off the bottom up to where the moss starts. I just feel the bottom isn't adding anything to the image. As for the twig in front of the falls, I'm kind of torn. The colors look good to me and so does the web presentation.

This is one of those images that it might have been useful to shoot at some different , faster ISO'S to see how the water looks at different speeds. perhaps a much less "silky" effect would have lent more to this images. Probably the blown out highlights would be less, but still there probably would be some there. If this was a JPEG there's not a lot you can do with the highlights. In raw there's more control and some hope.
I would crop out the bottom( dark twigs and just leave some of the moss in the image. To me the twig is very distracting.

I have to agree with Erik on most of the comments. Although I tend to think removing the twig in the water is more important than a crop on the bottom. Do that and burn out the highlights on the water and this will be much better. The moss color looks right on.

Thanks for the start Erik,
I realized I forgot the settings so I added them to my first post text.
This was shot RAW, but I think it was too long an exposure. I don't get any blinking highlights on the RAW as is, so I think the white is just too flat to save. I'll work on the twig and crop a little from the bottom. I think I did shoot some faster shots so I'll go through my files.
