Hi more for opinion really, does this work as an image.. shot first thing Sunaday Morning, deep in the mist against the rising sun, colour is as the RAW file came out of camera (AWB). Manually focussed, nowhere near enough contrast for AF to get a lock.
I find it odd for you to ask if this image works, IT CERANLY DOES .
Colour is very pleasant and composition is right there where it should be. And Phillip's idea is also worth thinking about.
Cheers,
Marko

hmm, doesn't quite work for me unfortunately. U might want to try losing a bit of the foreground and increasing the contrast on the deer itself to make it stand out a bit more.

Clonking image Phil
I don't think it'll shrink to busi card size without losing some of its effect - the buck might get a bit lost and indistinguishable.

Absolutely! Wonderful image - very evocative (for me) of Autumn.
I would just tone down the red/yellow sat a tad (currently tooo tango) and the punch the contrast to deepen the black.

Hi Phil
Very nice - I had similar light on Saturday and struggled when processing they to decide on the strength of the 'glow' but went for a more subtle shade. Re Tom's suggestion of giving it more contrast - I found that this doesn't work with an image that has no contrast to start with.
I will post my attempt

I like this too, it works for me. I did some similar shots at Richmond park on Saturday.
