Due to how divided by the water the detailed elements of the image are, it makes it difficult to absorb the scene as a whole, imo. The more I look at it, the more I like the top and bottom as two separate images. I think there is a strong abstract with just the rock and water.

I agree along the lines of trevors comments. There is too much space between the foreground and background. Maybe cut out some of the water if possible.

Dude, I love this !! The reflection in the water really helps break the large space of water for me..... schweet !!

I really like the golden light on the top of the shot. The leaf on the anchor rock is a nice touch, and helps to tie the foreground and background, but it feels staged. Like Eric, I feel there is too much middle ground without interest. Maybe a lower angle would have helped to cut some of that out.

I agree with Trevor. The strength and interest in the photo for me is the rock with the leaf. A shot (or crop) of just the rock and surrounding water would be worth a try.

The elements work for me, Darren - but with a slight crop off the top to focus more clearly on the foreground. Possibly just below the prominent horizontal limb in the upper left corner. Love the colors and reflections!
