Personal attention
I have always viewed this as a possible, never a runner. However from the feed back I have had on this image, (including two members from here) I thought I would share this here too. Taken in Lake Nakuru, Kenya last month.

Steve, the story told by this image is a good one, but I can't help but notice how bright part is screaming for attention, and there is none there. I would try to tone down this part of the image quite a bit and then it would be much more pleasant to look at. As texture of elephant's skin is fantastic and so is the bird.

Cheers,
Marko

OK Marko, think this may answer your point hopefully. BTW it's a Rhino just for the record. Something I omitted earlier.

The repost is far better. The subject stands out now as opposed to the brighter areas :toast:

Hi Steve

Very nice - love the texture in the skin. Head turn would have perfected the image!

Thanks guys, it's interesting to note that it is not always what 'you' think works or doesn't as a 'photographer. As I said at the beginning, to me this was in the 2nd batch. How wrong was I based on these comments :-(

Sadly David can't have everything, that would be asking too much perhaps, but can always wish :toast:
