BHG foggy dawn

Thick cold fog, and no birds to start with at Little Paxton at dawn on Sunday, I was wishing I had stayed in bed when the Black headed gulls got active and the Sun made a valiant effort to burn through the gloom. I used half a loaf of Andy Darrington's bread, (it was intended for the Swans in the fog shots we were after getting) and nearly laser treated my eyes the natural way, but the results were well worth the early start, even though they are not of what I originally set out for!

What an awesome image Nigel :toast: :toast:

But if anyone can explain to me how you managed to take this with a 600mm in one shot I'd be grateful

This looks like a superbly put-together photo-comp, but if you say it's one shot then I believe you :wavey:

I was expecting that, but it is a straight shot, I got a whole sequence.

Now that is just surreal... the trees look almost as if taken by a wide angle....

A quite awesome image that pushes the boundries....

Not your usual BHG image! love the warm colours and the sunburst effect through the trees and mist. A really different bird image and pleasure to see.
