Moonrise (with repost)
I went out to Cheyenne Bottoms tonight. As I was getting ready to leave, I noticed the moon had started to rise. At the same time, the wind died down, and the eastern sky turned beautiful as the moon rose and the sun set. I wish I could be out somewhere Thursday night, but it isn't going to happen. Canon 30D, 70mm, f/8, 1/125, ISO 200, hand held with IS (no vertical tripod mount), small crop. Comments/critiques welcome.

Very nice, Rob - I love the glow on the horizon. Thanks for posting!

After reviewing the image this morning, I made a slight adjustment. The colors were more pink than originally shown in the first pic. Any preference between the 2? Thanks, Rob.

Hey Rob, both look good to me but I like the second a little better. Tonight the moon should be amazing, it should rise just before sunset and tomorrow night it should rise at sunset. Thanks for inspiring us to get out.

Well I did get out after the moon tonight but I didn't get anything as nice as this. As a matter of fact, the moon was a no show ... oh well. Have a great weekend!
