Hi All,
Went over the meadows this morning as the light was pretty good, Did'nt go over with any specific image in mind just to shoot anything that caught my eye, got some misty meadow images also reflections in the river etc, this one keeps drawing me back though, one minute I really like it, then I look at it and there is no focal point. I do like the way it shows early stages of the leaves dying away, which is probably why I've not binned it. Looking for some feedback on this please.
I quite like it Rob. It catches the essence of early Autumn with the leaves just begining to turn.
I think the thing that lets it down is the relatively flat lighting though. A bit of warm, directional sunlight coming from behind the leaves, would,I feel, transform the scene quite dramatically.
Perhaps a little added contrast using curves would be worth trying.

Nice idea Rob but like Justin I'm seeing it as a bit flat. Either Justins suggestion of a curves adjustment or the possible intro of a levels adjustment layer and setting black, white and mid-points might help
