OK, here's one of mine. Had a great time with Bill & Tim. Saturday Tim cooked some seasoned chicken breast and BBQ that was excellent. Then Sunday for breakfast Bill cooked bacon, eggs bisquits with gravy and sausage. I had seconds of both. I kinda felt bad just showing up and eating so well. Lets try to get together again.

Gale,

How did you process this image for posting? Software? Hardware? Color space?

Your colors are so beautiful in this image, as well as the composition! I can't get the same colors to show up on my monitor with any image that I post. The image that I prepare looks fine, but once it's posted to NPN, it typically looks washed out.

Thanks,

Tim!

That's a nice one, Gale - really nice warmth to the colors (and it looks like you actually found a spot that had a few). Nice to meet you this weekend!

Gale, this looks good even on my crappy laptop at work. A beautiful comp and wonderful color & sharpness. Sounds like you all kind of split up after eating. Seems like most of the images posted so far have been from relatively different areas. Glad you had fun and thanks for sharing!

Tim Mulholland, I am no expert but here it is since you ask. This is a 10 image pano stitched in PTgui then I process in photoshop. When done I use these steps for web.
convert for web
1 flatten image
2 convert file to srgb colorspace from, edit then convert to profile, select srgb ok
3 size image select file, automate fit image, put in size widest and height the same.
4 select image, image size, deselect resample image and input resolution of 72 or 90
5 view image at 100% then filter unsharpen mask, start at 200 and .3
6 file, save for web, quality set to how image looks
7 no spaces in file name, save image
8 close file don't save changes to original

That's some really nice color, Gale! Dang, where did you find these? Lower screw-up? That can't be from THIS year! Really nice work. :toast:

Gale, this is a really cool picture. The stillness of the pool and the colors are perfect. I am guessing this is upstream of the camp?

Gale,
This has inspired me to try some more panos. They've been a real pain in the past.
Sorry I didn't get to meet you this time. Maybe in the spring.

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments. Bill and Tom yes this is upstream, one of my favorite spots.

Gale, This is a really nice pano. It takes me right through the scene, and there is so much to explore. Great job processing the image, and what a beautiful area to be in. I can see why it's a favorite spot.

Gale,

Truly beautiful shot. Your expertise, both here and on your website, with pano's is truly impressive.

Keep up the excellent work!!
