Goshawk-C
I dont normally shoot captive birds etc but i was invited over to Wales for a couple of days to shoot some captive Birds of Prey and go to Gigrin for Kites, This is a Goshawk that is 'mantling' a dead pheasant, I got down low to keep the jessies etc covered

Needs no more than this Dave - perhaps jog the bird slightly right in the frame - but a superb image :toast: :toast:

It would appear your sub mirror is okay, or are you having ai-servo probs - I take it you were in one-shot here

1 shot in this case-birds in flight were a problem with the low light and most went in the bin :frown:

lovely image. a really nice appraoch to the jesses problem, and it looks very very natural, which i suppose is the aim with captive birds.

Hi Dave, a very nice image, a shot I would truly love to take in the wild one day  Anyway, the bird seems very light for a young Goshawk, it might be the Sibirian race you got here.

Great portrait! I applaud your creativity in avoiding the anklets, it works fantastically well here. I'm very envious indeed.
