Hello, just a quick question for all of you smart people. But first thanks for the replies and advice about the Canon Pixma. I ended up buying a Pixma Pro 9000. Now I am interested in a continuous ink supply system, and I am wondering if anyone uses one or could point me to a solution.
Thanks,
Emmett

I wouldn't suggest coninuous ink although others may disagree. The disadvatanges far outweigh the benefit. In fact, the only benefit seems to be lower cost. On the other side you have ink and media issues - print longevity, color consistency, profiling, gamut - not to mention you supposedly void the printer warranty. With that out of the way, if you have a printer profiling system, and you stick to brand-name ink such as products from Media Street, Lyson, Pantone, etc - you are likely to reap some serious savings. But, no matter what the ink manufacturer's claims are, the inks have different gamut and color, and you will not be able to use canned profiles. So if you are thinking of buying a CIS, add to that the cost of purchasing and implementing color management. The Colorvision Spyder3 Studio product will give you reasonable results and at $599 retail seems to be the least cost point of entry into the world of managed color workflow. You will need to profile your display as well as your printer, so plan on getting the Studio package as opposed to just the Elite.
