One from the other evening - really harsh light, but what can you do

Very nice Andy, I'd be more than happy with this. Exposure, focus, comp all spot on
Is it me or does it appear to have a leg or two missing If so a shot of it landing would have been interesting

Nice flight capture, and light is as light is as they say.

Hi Andy,
I never new they tucked their feet into their belly feathers until today, that's the power of photography.
Nice shot like the comp.

Hi Tim - great to see you back commenting matey
Paul guessed it right Tim - the birds left leg is just a stump
Not living by the sea I don't know about 'sea' gulls, but I notice a lot of gulls at this time of year especially seem to be sporting broken legs, makes me wonder if it's down to rough landings in maize and cereal stubble.
Mind you this one doesn't seem to be doing too badly on it - nature never ceases to amaze

Yup, not much you can do with harsh lighting except keep the whites in tact. You've done that superbly here. Nice comp and nice processing as usual Andy
