(C) in title for captive bred & proud of it I'm sure
Here is another shot taken the same time as previous upload, light was fading fast as our enjoyable session draws to an end.
Those eyes are so deep yet 10 years of friendship I am still amazed by those eyes & that alert stare he makes. Awesome isn't he.
Thanks for looking

More less straight from the camera
Slight crop to frame with just a tweak with USM & brightened abit to bring out a bit more detail.

Absolutely Vincent - he is awesome
My chap passed away 4 years ago much to my sadness, and the delighted relief of my 4 springers and the GSP - now there was a bird who knew what dogs were for....
Suberb image of an "awesome" bird, you are very lucky to have him as a friend.

Hi Vince,
Another nice portrait, I think I prefer this over the flight shot. The colours work much better for me here.
I really must come down and meet Kahn some day.

Thanks for the kind comments
Hi Tim Hope you are OK after hearing about that dreadful ordeal you have had with your back, sounded horrendous & very painful indeed, glad to see you didn't hurt your sense of humour Even though we have never met, you sound like a great person to meet & at the same time have a laugh with lol. One day we shall meet Take care of ya self
He surely is amazing bird, Vincent! And you did a good portrait in some great light. On the other hand, I'm not so sure about the fence he is standing on. Probably because our wild ones are usually perching on rocks of their mountainous habitat.
Cheers,
Marko
