Repost / Foggy Mountain Pitstop
After a fun day shooting the gorge with Darren and Adrien I had to try a high ISO shot on the mountain road that leads me home....

It's a mess coming from 1600 ISO but it was every bit as much fun as our morning shoot under better lighting conditions!

I would run it through some noise reducing software. I just can't get by the noise.. What camera was this shot with? I agree that it is fun trying different techniques. Thanks for posting. :toast:

Kudos for playing around. Aside from the noise, it's a great star shot.

Hi Larry, it was good to meet you on Saturday. This is a different image and I like the kind of erie feeling it gives down low and the stars up high. The noise is pretty apparent but I am guessing you knew that.

Same here Adrien. Saturday was fun shooting with you and Darren! I thought the noise added to the creepy feeling so I left it in. This was taken at 2:30 Sunday AM and was the last shot of my day that began at 5AM Saturday in Battleground. I'll probably rework this one when I have more time.

This one is cool, Larry!

Between here and M&N the split was 50/50 on the grain issue so I fiddled with the knobs and came up with this version. Erik... This was taken with a D-200 12mm - F4 30sec. In camera noise and high ISO correction disabled.

Great Larry! Much better without the noise.
