Autumn morning

Not my normal subject matter but I thought I should make the effort to try and get at least one autumn colour image this year. I have applied the soft focus effect described by David Clapp in his last post. As I say this isn’t my usual type of image so any feedback on if this works or not would be really appreciated. Nothing wrong with this one, Tristan! I would try to exclude that cut off from composition and that's all I can think of.

Lovely shot Tristan, colours are beautiful, the glow to the grass could have a little less luminance perhaps, but he feel and lighting are just great. I would apply even more soft effect as if you hadnt told me i would never have noticed.

Maybe not your normal subject matter, but still well executed - like the overall composition a lot.

I like this, and I like your subtle use of the filter, normally I don't really like the Orton effect because it sort of covers up the image underneath, but it works here.

By the way, have you got your 4x5 yet?

Errr sorry Tristan. It's cut off tree right in the middle of the composition, not composition itself .
