There've been a number of cracking autumnal colour images on here over the last few days, but it's a season of mist as well as mellow fruitfulness, so an early mrning trip to a Mid-Wales hilltop yesterday morning gave a chance for another take on the season before it goes.

I just love these compressed layered mist enveloped images - a phenomenon I've frequently seen but never managed a shot of myself.
Nice job.

Nice, I like the contrast betwen the fine tree detail and blocks of mist, gives the eye a variety of focal points.

At first I thought it needed more colour but after viewing it several times I think it is fantastic as it isvery subtle but quite dramatic.

beautiful shot Mark, it has a lovely dreamy feel to it, the house is a nice touch took me a while to notice it though
Beautiful image Mark, works very well. I think you could get a good vertical comp out of this too. The only thing I think could improve it is a stronger foreground layer - more defined shapes of trees for instance. Easier said than done. I wish some mist like this would blow over this way! Tristan
