puffin fight
not exactly seasonal, but have just found it while sifting through a huge backlog of images, from skokholm

1D mark II + 300 F4 or 400 F5.6
1600/F1 (can't be right but thats what my computer says)
ISO 500
cropped out a OOF puffin

Hi Jack,

Really nice image, showing good behaviour and it's well exposed in the whites and blacks.

Nice work

Regards

PS Did'nt get a chance to congratulate you on your recent success in the Photo comp in the other thread, so well done :toast:

Hi Jack,

Well exposed and a real action packed shot, brilliant.

Nicely done with super action, and what appears to be good exposure, only minor nit, and one I don't think anything can be done about is the OOF bird behind the RH Puffin.

A pleasure to view..

Different from the usual Puffin shots.
Perhaps clone out the bird behind the RH Puffin. :toast:

Like a boxing match! Great shot.

Excellent shot with superb colours and perfect timing; I agree that cloning out the bg puffin would help, but it's not intrusive.

Nice action captured here Jack - well done :toast:

Agree with the above comments about the BG puffin, though as Mark says, it's not too intrusive

Good action and good colours, if possibly a tad tight in the frame for me (but only a minor nit as it's a cracking pic overall) :toast:

Good action jack and whites look great. Nice work. Initially I didn't notice the puffin in the BG so it's not too intrusive at all. I'm gettin what lookslike bad compression signs around the bills? MAybe my cruddy work monitor though :toast:

Hi Jack

That's an excellent action and behavioural shot. Plus the exposure looks absolutely spot on with great detail in the blacks and the whites. The tight crop works with this shot to emphasise the action. Great photo and good reactions and technique on your part.

cheers
