Greetings and first post from a new guy
Greetings everyone

I've been browsing the great photos on this forum for the past few months, and finally got the nerve to post one of my own. This was shot last week a few minutes before sunrise in the southern foothills of the Ozarks, a couple of miles east of the Ludwig community. Comments and critique are encouraged.
I hope to get to know the CSNP members and hopefully learn a thing or two.

Thanks for looking.

Hi John, welcome to CSNP! We're glad to have you aboard and look forward to getting to know you through your images.

I really like the mood you've captured in this first post. The composition is perfect IMO, helping lead the eye through the many layers and to the details in the distant hills. Well done!

Looking forward to seeing more! :wavey:

John, I haven't been here long enough to qualify to welcome you aboard, but I like the photo. The color of the sky, the ground-hugging fog, the placement of the tree, the parallel lines in the field and the background hills all combine for a very pleasing image.

Maybe we can all learn a thing or two from you as well.

Welcome John. You have done a great job of caputuring the mood with this photo.

I have checked your site out dozens of times over the years, I think your more of the seasoned pro than the new guy. Glad to see you posting some shots over here.

Welcome!! Great first post. I love the lines in the foreground that lead to the layers in the background, and the tree really gives you a sense of the depth and scale. Can't wait to check out your website!

I would have to say this is a very amazing scene, the depth of the image is what I really like. I am really starting to get jealous of you Arkansas boys!

Welcome, John, and excellent first post. This actually reminds me of my new home here in Kentucky. All of the areas around Lexington look like this. It certainly inspires me to do some rural scenics. Of course, mine will all have horse fences in them, no doubt.
