Sunsrise From The Crown
Saturday morning I meet up with Darren and Larry for some morning shooting in The Gorge. Good to meet some folks in person from the forum for the first time.

Anyway, here is a sunrise shot from Crown Point. I know it's a place photographed from by many. However, I have yet to get something from here I am 100% happy with, mostly that the weather has not been right when I am there. I do like this image but I am curious what others think?

Nice view Adrien. I've never hit this spot under ideal conditions either but other NPN members have. :toast:

I like the sky and the background fog/clouds but the foreground clouds look more like smoke to me. I also like the trees in the foreground but don't really care for the bright ponds in the lower right. All in all I guess I like bits and pieces of it but not all of it.

Adrian,
You did have a nice sky to work with but I agree with maek about the haze. One other observation is why the trees are much lighter on the south side of the freeway?

Thanks everyone for the comments. All good points. I still kind of like but do realize it can some fine tuning still. I will see if I can reduce that "haze" feel.

Erik, as for the bright trees I think it's just because they are all yellow and every other group of trees are dark... in regards to them being lighter. I did not do anything different in the image on one part of the trees over the other.

I like the haze, the morning color, and the interest all around the photo. Plenty to nose up to and explore in a bigger print.
