Lovely Craig, looking at it on a lousy works monitor, might need a touch more usm.

Hi Craig,
Lovely shot, agree it needs a bit more USM, I would also lighten it a bit and add more saturation. Now get a singing Robin on there and you have your Xmas cards sorted for this year
Regards
Rob
PS Any idea when your website will be up and running, because I want to see your hunting Peregrine image that was recently published at a better size, or even better post it on here!!

Craig, Great image, love the perch.

Hi Rob
Most of my photos are at www.pbase.com/peregrine/birds
That peregrine shot was a hundred %crop. Birdwatch maybe publishing a couple more photos this coming month as well including one of a Sparrowhawk chasing a Dunlin but again its not critically sharp but I suppose it tells a story. It is also on the above website.
Best Regards
Craig

Nice cap Craig, good comp and nits covered - be nice to see it adjusted

lovely perch and composition, seems a bit soft though
Fine setting Craig, and the balance/comp looks easy on the eye!!
Agree a touch more usm would polish it off nicely.

That's a lovely shot - everything compliments each other nicely. Would work as a square crop as well.
PS Well done on capturing the peregrine in flight - I believe they can shift a bit!

Looks like the focal plane may be on the back judging by the in focus leaf Might just be me, but I too would like to see a repost with some further processing

I think Graham's right about the critical focal point, but it's still a nice image, set-up and lighting too.
