HI all, have been looking at the pictures on here for the last few months and have to say i've been very impressed. So it's time to try one of mine. This was taken at Lyme park a few week ago.

Fabulous background!!!
The strands of grass in front of its legs are a bit distracting to me.
Would love this to have been mine.

Excellent capture. The subject stands out so boldly from the background. Good definition and lots of impact.

Nice pose and a super background. The grass doesn't bother me.

wow excellent post John. Grass is fine with me and the colours are really god. Nice processing. For me, it's REALLY centred and I'd have shaved a bit off the right as it's looking slightly to the left. Subjective though. Very nice :toast:

Excellent job John and welcome to the board :toast: :toast:

Super BG and great detail - WISH IT WAS BIGGER :wavey:

Graeme is spot on about your crop.

How did you manage to survive in Lyme with a big white 500mm

Spot on, he looks tired!

Well you've set your benchmark now John - welcome aboard and hope to see more pics soon: this is a fine stag image with cracking colours. Slight crop comment would help, grass doesn't bother me though.

Agree with centering comments as it only requires a slight crop. Love the background. Waited for hours in Richmond Park for a similar effect. They hardly ever go where you want them  Looks a little muted, but that's just processing. A quality shot to start off in uknp. :toast: :toast: P.s. could you add a few more tech details such as exposure, etc.
