Greenfinch
I took this one the first day Greenfinch visited my feeder. This finch rested for a moment and I took the shot. It's not the most friendly looking guy.
iso 320 1/15 sec. F8 no flash 90% full frame

Edwin, for me, it's a bit big in the frame and the virtual tail's clipped but technically it looks spot on. Processing looks fantastic on my CRT, but I suspect it would look a bit bright on my LCD screen. Colours really compliment each other. Nits aside, nicely done :toast:

I like it,nice clean image, good perch and I like the dismissive "I dont care if you're looking at me" pose.

If there is a clena portrait of greenfinch, this is it! Probably a bit tight, but not much.

Cheers,

Edwin - find me a Greenfinch that DOES look friendly

The feet are a bit tight to the frame edge imho, but overall a nice image - and a Yew perch to boot :toast:

They'll like this in the US as it's really in your face!! Good work, nice perch and shot, but being European a touch more space would help.

Very, very strong image; great to be able to contast this big boy with the others. I've been hanging around this forum long enough to have been converted to the space=good viewpoint, but the impact of this in your face view is impressive.
