Metate Arch
I had to post this one before Rick did.

This is sweet! A feast everywhere I look.

Having never been here and not remembering seeing this arch before I had to do a search on the internet to see what the whole thing looks like. Having done that I can say that I really like your take on this. The high overcast lighting really helped. It looks just a little dark on my monitor, too.

Nicely composed Mark. Cliff

JERK! Actually my best vantage points are on that CF card I lost :frown: . I really like your rendition. It's not at all dark on mine (home or work). It almost seems like there's halos around the sandstone though.

Do you simply not have the card or do you think you wrote over it? I'll look in my car if you think it might be there.

lol...not only did I JUST find my missing 2 gig card, but I found an extra one...so I now have (4) 2 gig cards and (2) 4 gig cards!

This shot is out of this world - I love the unusual perspective taken

Mark, love the angle of this shot, but would like to see more brightness in the arch itself.

Thanks everyone, I think I need to calibrate my monitors, the arch looks almost too bright in PS.

Nice view, I'm dizzy looking at it...

Mark,

If you were any kind of real photographer you would have fired up the DuraFlames and got that natural light glow on the underside of the arch :-). Nice take on this subject.

Regards, Simon

Great shot Mark! I love the composition, and that is nice sky to have as a background. Very interesting photo. My only suggestion would be for a bump in contrast and color for the rock.
