My Epson R1800 has developed a problem, during printing it will suddenly stop , the paper will spit out and "Commubication Error" pops up on the screen. Sometimes it stops after only a couple lines, sometimes a quater of the way through and somtimes when it is almost done. I reinstalled the driver a couple times and tried it with 2 different computers. My brother suggested changing the firewire cord and after I did the printer worked flawlessly for a couple hours. A couple days later I turned it backed on and tried to print a photo and the communication error reappeared. Anybody have any suggestions?

Scott,
I've had this problem for about a year. I think I've finally figured out the cause but haven't tried to fix it. I think the power button has become excessively sensitive and the vibrations of the printer are causing it to partially trigger the power button. If you'd like to give me a call I'll email you my 303 cell number.
