Hi,
Does anyone know if 1D Mark III cameras now in UK shops have the correct submirror hardware? I have read somewhere that unsold cameras of certain serial numbers were recalled by Canon so I would assume that the ones on sale now are fault-free? There seems to be plenty of them in stock everywhere.
I read on another forum that in the US, the updated ones have a blue sticker on the box.

In theory if the camera is outside the 501001 and 546561 serial number range it should be fine. If you find a supplier who can confirm his stock meets that requirement then please post back here, I would be very keen to talk to them.

There is one guy on another forum who has purchased a Blue Sticker MKIII in the last week but was inside the affected s/n range, so it looks like he has got one that probably was been fixed by Canon US before it got to a reseller or was recalled like Canon UK did. So I would advise anyone in the UK to check with Canon or Canon reseller re Blue Sticker or make sure the s/n is outside the affected s/n range.

Thats the problem with this blue sticker. It should'nt be on the outside of the box.Instead why not put it in the inside of the battery compartment ?.
Then put a better FIXED sticker on the box.
Come on anyone can get a load of blue dots to stick on a box, just to say its fixed
I would of thought a multi million pound company like Canon can think up something better than that

I agree Alan, that would get me thinking bad things if I got a MKIII with a Blue Sticker with a s/n inside the affected range that's why I would like conformation from Canon that the fix has been applied.
