The Outstandings
D2x, 12-24mm @ 19mm, f/11 @ 1/6 sec.

No filters but I worked the bright and dark areas using Tony K's. Luminosity Masks.

This is in Escalante and those are the Straight Cliffs, in the light, at sunrise.

Appropriately named. Good job handling the DR in this.

I can go for the title...this is pretty cool Mark. The left upper side feels kinda empty, but you had no choice. It doesn't ruin this image.

The rock formations are kind of cool. I woiuld like to se some kind of cloud formation. I know you have to work with what you have They remind me of some of the rock formations from what I saw of some shots my wife took in Africa.

Great rock formations, and I like the way the composition walks my eye from front to back. The reds and greens look a little dull to me though, this would be a good candidate for working the a channel in lab. (In fact, IMHO, almost all of these "canyon" shots look better with the color enhanced in lab.)

What a place to experience. The sky, distant rocks, and middle ground look great. I would like to see a little more contrast in the foreground boulders for sure though.

Mark,
Nice job in tough conditions. I'd love to be there with a storm in the background to add the dramatic effect.
