I took a good friend from back east up driving in & around the forest roads surrounding Trillium Lake this afternoon. I made one image in a beautiful area. There are many of these scenes up there. Scenes like this make me think that I should have been here in Oregon many years ago. What a beautiful land.

This is pretty, Jack - I think I will be heading up there tomorrow of the next to try to find this area...

This is a great composition. Lovely capture of a NW rainforest scene. There's a bit of a blue-ish cast on the fringes of all the water, and the lower right corner. The greens look good to me though. I think this could use a bit more sharpening too....at least for the web presentation.
Have to agree about a little blue cast but all in all a very nice shot. Makes me want to get out and shoot. Too many projects at home.

Jack, the comp on this is perfect in IMO! There is a slight color cast on the water but it does not bother me. A fine piece to print and hang I would say.

Beautiful peaceful scene that you discovered there. I love the comp, and it's evident much thought went into framing the scene. The hues in the water appear painterly, perhaps due to a combination of long exposure and reflections in the dark forest.
