This was taken late yesterday after sunset at one of my favorite vistas on Lee Creek.
There is a group in Crawford County trying to put a Dam on this section of the Creek and if this happens this scene will be under a lake. The group pushing this lake claims Crawford County needs the water supply but the new Lake Fort Smith Dam and lake will provide water for the entire area well beyond 2050!

Nice shot, Tom! It's sad that water is becoming a political topic nowadays.

Tom - I love the reflections and color. Looks like a nice place to keep around. Kind of wish there were more water, though (bet you do too!).

Beautiful color, Tom. I especially like the lone tree in the middle, and the reflection.

Looks like leaf off is underway in Arkansas too. You caught some nice holdout color here Tom. Too bad about the water issues. You would have thought we'd have learned from some of our mistakes by now.

Thanks for the comments, it is always good to be outdoors! Here is a view in the opposite direction. There was a little more color and water.

Nice, Tom. And I really like the second post, too. Wish we would have had some color up here this year. I think I am going to Vermont next September to see friends. Shouldn't have a problem finding color up there.

Nice shots Tom, you make me want to be there. Say.... I live in Crawford County! Where did you take these shots? Is it accessible to the public?

John, absolutely, both of these shots were taken at the public access to Lee Creek at Highway 220. Take the gravel road on the right just before the bridge on Lee Creek.
Go north on 59 through Cedarville and turn right on Arkansas 220 just north of town. It is about 9 miles to the creek.

Hey Tom Glad you made it out some this Fall. You got some nice color in both of these and a great reflection in the first. I recognize this spot the good old put in.
Great Job.

Nice Tom, I'm not sure which one I like better. The second one has more "flavor" but the first one draws you in and around.

Beautiful pictures, I recognized the area as soon as I saw the first picture. Sure do miss the old bridge, used to climb all over it. I was born about two miles from there.
