Glacier Park in August...

I shot this in mid August in Glacier Park, with my D200 &
Sigma 10-20.

I cropped & stretched it some, for effect... I like it and then again, I don't....

Any comments?

Thanks!!

Dave

You don't like it? OK, give it to me.

Next time, don't wait so long to post the good stuff. :toast:

I take it you like it, Lance... Thanks... and thanks for the beer!!.
I'm just not sure about the stretching... For a wall hanger, I think it helps, but from a certain point of view, it isn't what the camera saw, it's more what I saw...

You have a great sight!! I'm still learning PS... maybe some day...

I've just started posting on this site. Mostly for the learning experience all of you share so freely. Thanks to everyone for that!! I have a lot more to post and learn from...

Hey Dave, I personally think there is more potential in the sky. Since you said it was a crop I think you should include more of it and lose some of the water if you want to keep it in pano format. I feel the sweeping sky could add a lot of depth and awe to your image. Not a fan of the stretching, but that could be because I have been there also and know what it looks like. The west is the best, but I am also partial to Cuyahoga Valley NP. adios

Thanks, Jeff! I'll try that tomorrow and re-post... The stretching is because I haven't gotten up to speed on shooting panos with my gear yet... Alway more to learn!!! But that's the Journey, right??

Later....

Dave, I really like the light here (and I'm a sucker for Glacier). I agree with Jeff that the sky has more drama potential than the water (if the reflection had been more clear, that would be a different story). I'm also not too keen on the FG bush. It doesn't add anything to the image for me.
