Peyto Lake
Here is another in my series from Banff National Park. The green glacial waters in the Canadian Rockies are truly wonderful.

In this shot, I really liked how the sunlit green in the lake contrasted the shadowed blue sky reflection.

Other than the lack of clouds, this morning proved quite fruitful. At first light I captured the previously posted Bow Lake shot, then made a mad dash to Peyto Lake for this one.

Any ideas on a title for this shot? The geek gene in me blocks the creative juices sometimes. Thanks for any comments.

Wow!! What a cool place to be on a beautiful morning!! Bummer about the clear sky but I bet it was an AWESOME day nonetheless!! Hmmm a name - well, how about "Mid-morning Over Bow Lake"?

I was there about 10 years ago. It is truly an inspiring place. You've done a nice job here with the mid day colors. How about "In the realm of the aquamarines" for a title...

That is some color! The far right side of the mountain's reflection is interrupted by something, I can't tell what. Any ideas?? Beautiful location!

Mark, I zoomed in on the original image to be sure, but as I recall this shot was taken just as the wind started to kick in on the lake. Within ten minutes the glass reflection was all but gone.

Hans,

I've never been here with this clear a sky and I really like it a lot. When it's overcast you still get some reflection, but nothing like yours. I envy this shot a lot. really wonderful.

The blue sky really works for you here; I don't think clouds would add to this. The contrast of the blue and the green with the reddish earth between is perfect. The urc looks a tad over saturated, but otherwise a great shot Hans!
