Would never have known it was HDR so well done for that, I feel I want more of the abbey in the shot, I want to turn right and have more gravestones in the shot, the lower left is a little empty, but a pleasing result none the less.

Well done Tim - well done for getting on the mend, well done for getting out, well done for this image and well done for buying that WA - wouldn't swap my Toky 12-24 for anything
Nice job mate - puts me in mind of BW film thru a yellow filter
Nice shot but I also would like the abbey more in the shot to give more space on the right. I also think the grave stones could be used to powerful effect if you get a lot closer to them. Would make a great subject for infra-red. Tristan

Great subject Tim! I'm in envy when I think of British care for heritage.
As Tristan and Dave already wrote some adjustments to composition would strengthen this already good image.

10 repliesI had a trip to try out my new tokina 12-24mm, so far I like it, it does do chromatic aberration but that's easily dealt with by software.
Cheers now

The converging verticals are a bit uncomfortable to my eye, although difficult to avoid with a wide lens, i guess
It may just be that i tend to 'see' in long tele mode though
Alan
The lens seems to do a good job.
