Hi Vince,
Nice shot , it's eyes are superb , a very intense stare , would like a little more room down the righthand side and across the bottom , but thats only my personal taste.

Love the way the eyes match the background colour. As he is stationary, would it have been worth risking more depth of field and slower shutter speed? Its just the fuzz of the wings and tail is a little distracting.

Little Owls are one of my favourite raptors, they have such expessive faces to me. Nice image and i like the simple background.

This is just great Vincent. Here in Holland they are quite difficult to shoot because they are hiding behind branches most of the time. I really hope to visit you're centre one day.

Great shot Vince. Ross and I are coming for a photography day with you next year so perhaps we will see this chap.

Very nice eye contact and detail. The out of focus area at the tail makes this selective focus work even better.

Thanks for the incouraging feedback, more than appreciated
Critique is so valuable & thanks to those who provide it, looking at the OOF wings & tail I now see that I should have increased the DOF & decreased the speed, thanks for pointing this out

Hmm 250/s at 400mm _ FOV is good, i think you should of increased to ISO 400 and could of jumped to f5.6 but maybe next time

a cute little one isn't he it's a great shot
I would like to see one of them with mouse in the beak if you can grab one of those Vince....it's exciting to see that.....adds to the nature of what they are.....I'm not sure how you feed them , do they come up to you to get fed or do you let them live off the land?
Thanks for posting these lately

Another flawless image Vincent, and the simple BG sets the subject off a treat

Nothing much to add, Vincent! But I would like to join chorus in saying: great image.
