when I now use quick mask (Q,the brush to paint in the selection, then Q again to select, the marching ant do not appear around the selection, but appear all over the place in no defined pattern, where as before they marched around the painted in area. Does anyone know what is causing this. I want it to work as it once did but don't want to uninstall and reinstall PS to correct this. Would appreciate your help. Thanks.
I'm only guessing Jackie because I don't use quick mask, but in any other select function, things go haywire when my tollerance setting for a particular tool is too high or too low. Have you changed that recently, on another project perhaps? Wild guess!
Hank, I did find out how to correct the problem by taking time to do a lot of CS2 researching and I did correct the problem, thank goodness. It had to do with the Q Mask icons in the tools platlette. I had changed them and did not change them back to what I was used to using. Everything is fine now, but thanks for responing so soon. I was worried sick, especially since PS tech was going to charge me $40 to try and fix it over the phone. They told me that since CS3 has been out for 90 days, even tho my software is only 6mo old, there is no warrenty for CS2.
