This time I paid close attention to any adjustments that changed the look of the water and when they did I backed off to leave it as the onboard settings recorded.

Beautiful on the water and overall very nice frame.

Too saturated, but still beautiful.

Definitely the best so far Larry. It still seems a bit off to me - I think its the overall brightness of the scene. Proxy Falls is in a pretty dark area and this just looks a tad too chipper to convey the appropriate feeling to me.

Much, much better. I've not been to these falls, but I think Bryan's on to something. Darkening the surrounding evergreens a tad would add to the framing of the falls.

Color and tone of the water look much better (no bluish tint). But the others are right, the foliage is too bright and too green. Darken and desaturate a little and I think you'll have it.
On another note, have you tried Nikons' Capture NX? I love the editing tree where you can go back and make minor adjustments to your previous edits, all the while preserving the original NEF. Often, I will make adjustments, then come back later when my eye's have readjusted to reality and refine those edits. I find when I stare at the screen too long, my ability to assess proper saturation is diminished.

Nice shot, Larry - the repost is right on the money. The reflection on the rock across the upper margin is a bit distracting, but might work cropped out. Very nice!
