This was taken a few weeks ago in the smokies. It looked like it was going to be a total bust and all of a sudden the beams started coming through the holes in the clouds. The only disappointment was the fact that there was no color in the valley whatsoever. But all in all it was a beautiful light show for those of us whe were there. The only thing I am considering is to possibly drop the exposure on the areas in the clouds where the sun is superbright. I would love any suggestions you guys might have. Thanks.
Looks great, Kevin. I have one just like it but I didn't shoot for a stitched pano. Is this a crop or stitched images?

Sweet, sweet shot, Kevin.
If, as you mention, you drop the exposure for blending the brightest sky areas, I wonder if it would show any of that orange-yellow color that backlights the thinner edges of the clouds.
But, as mentioned in another thread, please don't use any of those jalapeno filters.

Those sunbeams are incredible - nice work!

Sweet scene and composition. I'm wondering if there is any detail left in the RAW file in the white areas. If so, perhaps you can do a dual-process RAW for this image and bring out that detail when you go to print.
