Is this too OTT? -
Another image from Sunday's trip to Westonbirt, processed to try and give an alternative presentation of the stereotypical accent leaf amongst fallen leaves.
Oly E-500, 50-200mm at 57mm, iso 100, 1/45s at F6.7, tripod, full frame
Processing tech for the curious, RAW to TIFF, duplicate the layer and apply 50% gaussian blur. Fade the duplicated layer by 50%. Curves adjusted principally to enhance the colours by deepening the combined RGB channels curve, layers then flattened, resized and sharpened and converted to web jpeg

Good catch, Mike!
I like contrast between yellow and blue. I would be tempted to clone out part of yellow leaf in upper right corner.
Cheers,
Marko

Definately not to my taste but I absolutely applaud your creativity here which reminds me this is an element I all too frequently ignore.

Mike - I like this
I might go a tad further than Marko - and change the colour of both top and bottom corner leaves to the same as the rest.
It could then do with going through a Shadow/Highlight adjustment to give a bit more overall punch, then I think it might be just perfect.
Good image, good idea and good PS skills

Mike,
Very nice image and (since I have had a sneak preview ) it looks even better printed out as well. And thanks for the explanation of the technique - one to remember.

Very artisic and well shot. Yes I agree about removing the upper right hand corner.

Very effective image Mike, love the blues in particular and think it would be nice with more of the lighter blues. I also agree loosing the green top upper right would be good. Tristan
