Just a RED maple
A red maple from my yard Saturday. For once I think I caught the peak.

I have one similar to this Bruce and I sure like the "looking up" perspective. Great color and nice detail bottom to top! Thanks for posting!

Bruce, I'd say that's peak, all right. I, too, like the perspective on this one. I just wish the sky were a little more blue. It would really add some punch.

Indeed, the perspective and the radiant color make this a fantastic shot! :toast:

Beautiful colors, Bruce - wish we had a lot more of those in the woods around here!

The sycamore in my yard can't hold a candle to your maple. Beautiful color and good positioning of the trunk and limbs.

Have you ever tried shooting it under strong direct sunlight with the leaves back lit? Or in the strongly orange light of sunrise or sunset?
