I did a couple of day trips up here to the Glenwood area and couldn't believe the beauty and quietness of it. There are views from everywhere and in the Fall it is one of the most beautiful easily accessible areas I've seen. And there is hardly anyone around at any given time. Highly recommended.
This is a shot on my way out of town at last light, critiques are appreciated, I am always trying to improve processing, specifically color management and contrast/sharpening. The advice I've received from the talented folks here has definitely eased the learning curve. Thanks in advance.

Great shot Larry! I echo Jesse's comments.
The Glenwood valley is a gem of a place. I really enjoyed my visit there and plan to return each year. There are limitless possiblities for comps in this location and you really found a nice one.

Good capture. Great colors and foreground is excellent. Draws me right into the frame.

I agree with all comments---I wonder how a 2 stop soft GND would look? Maybe? Maybe not... hmmmmmmm???

Nice, Larry - the foreground is particularly nice. The mountain is just a bit soft, but that could be my monitor, too. The orange aspens on the right are just amazing!

So Larry, how much are you going to charge me to let me use your photo for the "Mt Adams Blend" label?

Larry,
Very nice composition. I really love the lower two thirds of the image. The mountain and sky look a bit washed out. I like Jack's idea using the nd grad.

Mark- How about some free coffee when I'm out in Hood River? You're a good guy to know. Nice website by the way, amazing collaboration between you and your Mom, your's is an artistically talented family.

Larry, I'd gladly trade coffee.
Thanks, that show with my Mom was great. Even now, because of that show, we are working on a private commission together for a couple here in Hood River.
Can I copy this photo and work with it a bit?

By all means, go ahead. Let's see what you can do with it.

I have the template at work, I'll get to it on Monday.

How's this?

It looks good to me. I think the foliage and snow indicate a chill in the air and have a cozy, Autumn feel which is conducive to coffee-drinking, makes me want to have a cup. Nice work.
