Blue Tit
And now for something completely different!!!

OK, it's not new but I didn't use this kind of wire before. What do you think?

Edwin,
That wire adds something to what could have been an ordinary shot. Maybe its the texture of the rust? whatever it is, i like it. :toast:

Sweet shot Edwin - wire makes a perch with a difference :toast:

Looks a tad blue on my monitor

Blue tits are such a great subject that I'm never tired of them. And rusty barbed wire is in huge contrast with this lovely bird. I know that you Brits are using it for fencing pastures, but it reminds me of war and some other ugly human behaviour, so this photo is talking volumes.

Cheers,
Marko

Agreed - the wire makes the shot. The inciteful comment from Marko made me look at it in a completely different way and he's right it does have a certain poignancy. Really like it.

Edwin,

I also love Blue Tits so this shot would get a thumbs up from me anyway but the use of the barbed wire is different and enhances it especially the rust colour :toast:

Markos comment also made me sit up and think and look again at the image. Thanks Marko for opening my eyes.

lovely shot and perch, a little too bright for me though

Very nice shot - no nits at all. The rusty colour really works with the background and adds a sense of melancholy to the shot - Marko's very perceptive!

Lovely shot and as mentioned the barbed wire is a contibuting factor.
I just think it a pity that all of the wire is not in focus as the blur to the right draws the eye slightly. :toast:
