Here's another shot from the NW side of Hood after last week's dusting of snow - this time a close up of the Sandy Headwall. The compressed version loses a bit of the pink in the rocks, but this was taken just as the last bit of light was hitting the summit. I was trying to capture all of the dimensional depth that the light was creating on what often appears as a flat, vertical face on the mountain. Comments and suggestions welcome, as always!

This is the good stuff Tom. Nice close view and that angle of light really brings out the detail. I like the sky too!

Good one Tom. The interplay of the snow and shadows on the mountain would have made a great standalone abstract too.

Tom, fantastic shot here. The flatness only adds artistic effect and makes this almost feel painterly.

You caught some nice light with this one Tom, and I appreciate the hazy clouds in the sky too.

Tom,
This shot is excellent. The sky isn't spectacular but really compliments the rest of the image nicely. One of the best I've seen from this location. :toast:

Mission accomplished, Tom. It's a beautiful shot and really does clarify that side of the mountain.
