mmmm this list (of just over 3,500 cameras) is described as "post counter measure products"
I think a reasonable assumption or interpretaion of this announcement is that it relates to the dealership returned bodies that have been subsequently modified and returned back to the dealerships for resale, as opposed to bodies that had been sold and in circulation - ie a press release to prevent people panicking if they bought a new body post 1/11 from a dealership and returning it to Canon for modification of the modification.......
