At the moment 4 of them visit my feeder. They are small and fast but for a moment this one sat still for a just one second

A nice image but i would have liked a slightly less overpowering twig and the bird a bit more off centre, in this case to the right

I watched a couple visiting the feeders in my mothers back garden most mornings last week, and can appreciate how hard it is to get a good image.... I didn't even try...

Class image of this cracking little gem Edwin
Can't fault it and I like the raised crest and the fact that you can see the white nape patch too - cracking stuff

Very good,I had one visit my feeders a week or so ago, did'nt manage a good shot of it as they dont sit still very long.Hope the little fella comes back so I might have a chance at a shot as good as yours.

Thanks guys
I'm very keen to have these birds at my feeder. I like this shot because it's not easy to capture them with those low shutterspeeds. Flash is no option with these birds because they scare off very easily.

Great image - lots of detail and nice pose. Coal tits don't seem to hang around much, so very well captured.

Lovely shot Edwin
The leafed branch works nicely for me, and gives a different feel, compared to a bare twig.
Don't think this branch would have worked, had much of the leaves been oof, but all {including the bird} are in nice focus, and the entire composition works well for me

It doesn't quite work for me if I'm honest with the way the head is angled away from the camera, although saying that it's a good id type shot showing that characteristic white marking on the head.
