I wanted to post one or two more of these (akkk!) Dahlias before the end of the year...

Ahhh... Perfect timing Ned. As the fall color fades and the rains settle in it's nice to have such a beautiful reminder. The color and detail are lovely!

Another beauty, Ned. I never tire of your Dalia photos. I hope that you'll post one now and then throughout the winter.

Hmm... this almost looks like one of those rare, winter-flowering Christmas dahlias..!
So Ned, given your penchant for dahlias, are you familiar with sasanqua camellias? They're winter-blooming, from about now through March, and have an infinite variety of blossoms, many dahlia-like. A good nursery will have a them, and there might even be some in one of the display gardens around town - not sure about that. Type "sasanqua camellia" into a Google image search, and you'll get a pretty good idea of the possibilities.
Not that I want to encourage your addiction, of course...

Thank you for your comments. Tom, I had not heard of those. Thanks for the idea! Gerbera Daisies are another fun flower to shoot...
