Dunes
Here is an image I recently posted in the ESS. Based on the discussion, the preference seems to be to post here and there.

Arca Swiss 4x5
Fujinon 240mm
Velvia 100

Oh my, this one is very special, Harley. If you posted this in ESS, unless very recent, I surely had missed this fine image. I have never done any B&W shooting or converting, but looking at this image it sure has a draw to that very fine art. :toast:

Harley, I think I commented on ESS; I love all the lines and shadows, lots to look at, keeps the eye moving :toast:

Harley, the dunes are gorgeous! I would love to see this one printed! The mountains could use a further refinement in contrast, as they look a tad flat compared to the rich dynamic range in the dunes. The composition is spot on,

Good Job!

ps: I'd like to see the collor version, just for fun.

Harley, those dunes look like perfect whip cream ready for use
I agree with Preston about the distant mountains, tho
Now if you make them the color of Pumpkin pie.....
the image would be a perfect Seasonal image , sorry.....
.....the sun must be out and I must be giddy
Great capture.....seriously!

Happy Turkey/Tofurky day to everyone!!

in gratitude,

I like it. Great in B/W, and I love the tones, and glow you got in the dunes.

Fantastic photo, Harley. The dunes look so soft and sensuous. The contrast between them and the rugged mountains in the background works really well.
