Hi,

One from dawn a couple of days ago during that wonderful spell of frosty weather we had. Here's hoping for lots more crisp Winter morning's this season.

Nice rich colours, and that sky has blended in very nicely Justin - bet this looks something else full-size :toast:

Pity the foremost fir is masking another behind in the distance - but that's just me being super-picky, and like I say, what do I know about landscapes :frown:

Hi Justin

Beautiful - good foreground interest, great sky and the frost moves the image up another level!

Nice scene, something quite surreal about it. Great light and unusual comp, but I think it works well.

Great shot, which captures the bleakness of winter heaths. The detail in the fallen trunk holds your attention before your eye covers the rest of the scene.

A crisp and clear image that represents a cold winter's morning beautifully. I agree that it would have been good to have that distant pine brought out from behind the nearest tree, but it's only a very small point. I love the frosted fallen trunk in the foreground, but actually I think the image would have stood well on its own without it.

Many thanks for the comments. Totally agree about the partially hidden tree. Didn't even realise at the time, probably too eager to get some shots before all the frost melted.
Good excuse to return again though when all this rain stops

I love the frost, the fallen tree, and the sky. But the trees just seem to detract from it. I might just be me, but the middle tree seems to be leaning, but the horizon is straight, so its just feels skewed. The colour and light and superb. I would definitely go back, but maybe find a different focal point. :toast: :wavey:
